TMC says people will give ‘befitting reply’ to those defecting to BJP

The TMC Tuesday likened its MLAs who have joined the BJP on Tuesday to”rats left a boat sensing threat” and said people will give them a befitting response.

Three West Bengal MLAs, such as BJP leader Mukul Roy’s son Subhrangshu Roy, and over 50 civil councillors, the Majority of them from the Trinamool Congress, joined the BJP on Tuesday.

A senior TMC leader stated, “We will expel them from the party. Subhrangshu is already under suspension. We are not bothered about these opportunists. Folks might offer them a befitting reply.”

“If a number of those leaders join the BJP just because it has won a few seats, they’re not anything, but rats that abandon a ship sensing danger. It’s good that they have left our celebration,” senior TMC leader and ministry Firhad Hakim stated. Another TMC leader Jyotipriyo Mullick said the celebration is looking into the development.
